We worked with Riverside RM to design a marine structure to load barges. The work included design of marine structure, dolphins and piles, fender, steel floating platform, bollards, winching system, and fairleads. One of the challenges for this project was the water fluctuations due the high tide (~9 meters). We also acted as the client’s representative in leading procurement process and ensuring the technical specifications of the equipment meet the requirements for the project. All the structure was modeled in FEA software and verified by hand calculations.
