We worked with PCL amt the Neptune terminal in BC to design misc. pipe taking into consideration seismic, snow, rain, and wind loads, thermal loads, and thrust forces. The pipes contain heavy coal slurry at a high velocity resulting in high thrust forces. Our tasks included design, drawing preparation, and cost optimization, along with material compatibility checks for all of the pieces.
